Sbriciolata with apples

Apple sbriciolata is a dessert bake from Italian cuisine - a pie with juicy apple filling between layers of crumbly shortcrust streusel. The pie turns out soft on the bottom and crispy on top - a very original combination of textures.

Ingredients (for 8 servings): Butter - 120 g Egg - 1 pc. Sugar - 120 g Flour - 300 g Baking powder - 1 tsp Apples - 4-5 pcs. Lemon - 0.25 pc. Ground cinnamon - 0.5 tsp Salt - 1 pinch Preheat the oven to 180 degrees.

Peel and core the apples, cut them into medium cubes.

Place the apples in a frying pan, add half of the sugar. Squeeze in 1 tbsp of lemon juice and add the cinnamon. Stir.

Stirring occasionally, cook the apples over medium heat for 6-8 minutes, until soft.

Sift the flour and baking powder into a deep bowl, add the salt, add the chilled butter, add the second half of the sugar and rub into streusel crumbs.

Add the egg and mix everything. Pour half of the crumbs into the tin and spread evenly over the bottom.

Spread the apple filling in an even layer.

Distribute the second part of the crumbs over the filling and level the surface.

Bake the sbriciolata at 180 degrees for 40 minutes, until the crumbs are golden. Then remove the tin from the oven and let the pie cool completely.

Transfer the pie from the tin to a plate and serve.

Enjoy your meal!
